I was selling a boat. He offered half the asking price without looking at it. I said no way. He said he would pass. Two weeks later he reconsiders and tries to negotiate more. I told him I am not negotiating with him until he comes and looks at the boat. He comes and looks at it, says he loves it, and makes an offer. I agree on the price, then he says he doesn't have the money and wants to set up a payment plan. I agree and have a contract drawn up based on his proposal and email it to him for review. I says it is great. I sign it and mail it to him. He said he would sign it and get it back to me along with the deposit check. He receives it on a Thursday. On Sunday I email him asking when he is sending it back. He says he is now in Arizona but will be back Tuesday and send it out Wednesday. I email him Wednesday afternoon asking for an update. No response. I call him Thursday afternoon and leave a voicemail. He responds with a text and says he will call me that evening. No call. At any time in the previous 3 weeks(where I have been telling prospective buyers that it looks like it is sold), he could have said he changed his mind. Instead he decides to ghost me.
